About Us

Born from a Passion for the Unseen

At the heart of Uncharted Sri Lanka is a group of friends who share one thing above everything else: an almost infectious passion for this extraordinary island.
Our backgrounds may be very different, but our love for Sri Lanka is absolute. We are driven by a desire to take travellers beyond the familiar postcards and well-worn tourist routes—to uncover the places, people, roads, landscapes and experiences that often remain hidden from the average visitor.
The Sri Lanka we know is wilder, richer and far more diverse than the standard itinerary suggests.
There are forgotten roads winding through emerald mountains, quiet villages where life moves to its own rhythm, little-known viewpoints, unexpected encounters, fascinating local stories and stretches of coastline where you can feel as though you’ve discovered them for yourself.
We want to help you find them.

Three Passions. One Island. Countless Possibilities

The team behind Uncharted Sri Lanka brings together three very different areas of expertise—and more than 25 years of travelling together and discovering the island from every possible angle.
Our travel specialist brings over two decades of experience in Sri Lanka’s travel industry, with an intimate understanding of the country, its people, its hospitality and the realities of creating memorable journeys.
Our mechanical engineer is, quite simply, obsessed with vehicles. Cars, motorcycles, 4x4s, rugged roads and everything in between—if it has wheels and can take you somewhere interesting, he’s interested. His passion opens up an entirely different way of experiencing Sri Lanka: from behind the wheel and far beyond the conventional routes.
And then there’s our software engineer, bringing a natural technological savvy to the team. From planning and communication to discovering smarter ways of navigating and experiencing the island, technology becomes a tool—not a barrier—to creating a seamless adventure.
Together, we have spent more than 25 years travelling, exploring, getting lost, finding new roads, sharing experiences and getting to know Sri Lanka from the inside out.
